MRT Food Sensitivity Test

MRT Food Sensitivity Test

The MRT (mediator release test) is a patented blood test provided by Oxford Biomedical Laboratories to identify your body’s inflammatory reaction to food and chemicals.

This test can help you identify foods that are causing inflammation in your body, leading to negative symptoms and reactions. The MRT is considered to be the highest standard of food sensitivity tests available.

Is your food making you sick?

Does any of this sound like you?

  • You’ve eliminated gluten and dairy and you still feel bloated and miserable

  • You eat “clean” but still feel inflamed and your joints hurt

  • Headaches and migraines are ruling your life, making you miss out on going out with friends and family

  • You suspect that you have food triggers, but you can’t seem to figure out what’s causing your symptoms

Even a “clean” diet can cause inflammatory symptoms if your body is sensitive to the foods you’re consuming a regular basis. Blindly eliminating “inflammatory” foods from your diet can just feel like a guessing game, not delivering any real results.

Food sensitivity testing provides you personalized information about which foods work for YOUR body.

No more guessing games.

What are food sensitivities?

Food sensitivities are immune reactions in your body that cause inflammation and negative symptoms in response to certain foods. These immune reactions can affect every organ in your body, which means symptoms of food sensitivity can be widespread.

Food sensitivities are NOT the same thing as food allergies. Food allergies are antibody-mediated (IgE), while food sensitivities tend to be inflammation related.

What are symptoms of food sensitivity?

Symptoms of food sensitivity can be quite diverse, but include:

  • Digestive issues- gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, reflux
  • Mood instability- anxiety and/or depression
  • Brain fog
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Arthritis
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Acne
  • Eczema
  • Difficulty losing weight

How the MRT Test can help

The MRT test is the most accurate way to identify your inflammatory reaction to 176 foods and chemicals. The MRT test is designed to be paired with the LEAP (Lifestyle Eating And Performance) protocol, which calms inflammation in as little as 10-14 days.

As a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT), I am specially trained and certified as a food sensitivity specialist. I will interpret your lab test for you and develop a personalized 3-phase diet protocol to drastically reduce inflammation in your body.

With a personalized protocol, based on data from your testing, you’ll have the tools to feel better quickly.

I have my life back.

FAQs

The MRT is the most accurate food sensitivity test on the market, with an estimated 94.7% sensitivity.

This test looks at a completely different pathway than most food sensitivity tests on the market. The MRT looks specifically at inflammation, which is the driver of most symptoms.

Most over-the-counter food sensitivity tests look at IgG (antibody) mediated reactions, which are known to have a lot of error. Many food sensitivities are inflammatory-mediated, but not antibody mediated.

A positive test for IgG antibodies could indicate food sensitivity, but you also often have IgG antibodies to foods you eat frequently.

If you have done a test like this in the past and still have symptoms, I would highly recommend doing the MRT test.

Not necessarily. The MRT is testing for a completely different pathway and is NOT testing for antibodies that indicate food allergy. It is possible to have an inflammatory reaction to a food that you’re allergic to show up on the MRT, but that’s not always the case.

You should still avoid foods you know you are allergic to.

Many of our clients notice at least a 50% reduction in symptoms in as little as 10-14 days. Complete symptom improvement may take several months, depending on your health and other contributing factors.

We will work with you to adjust the protocol so that it works for you! If it is not reasonable to follow the full LEAP protocol, we can use a modified version and still get great results.

This depends on your situation. The benefit of MRT is that it calms inflammation very quickly, which makes it much easier to heal your gut. If you have longstanding digestive issues, I recommend following up with a GI Map stool test and optimize gut health and healing.
